IMPORTANT NOTICE – UPDATED 4/15/2024!

As planned and announced in 2023, the Company has shut down operations effective April 15, 2024. If you have Front Door Software loaded onto your device, please follow the directions below to remove it:

PC:

You will need to perform a clean Windows reset, first by ensuring all data local to the PC is backed up in the cloud or an external hard drive. Once the device is reset (not just rebooted) the software will no longer be installed. Then the data can be restored from its cloud instance.

APPLE:

You will need to perform a clean reset, first by ensuring all data local to the Mac is backed up in the cloud or an external hard drive. Once the device is reset (not just rebooted) the software will no longer be installed. Then the data can be restored from its cloud instance.

Or… If you’ve already upgraded to Catalina, Big Sur, or Sonoma, You do not need to uninstall. FDS was auto-removed during your upgrade from your previous Mac OS. Meaning it’s no longer even on your device. But the FDS message persists. Here’s how to Remove the Message:
1. Click the Apple icon in the menu bar, and choose System Preferences.
2. Click Security & Privacy section in the System Preferences pane.
3. Click the Lock icon at the bottom left corner to unlock it.
4. Type your administrator name and password in the pop-up window to allow the modification.
5. In the General tab, un-check the box “Show a message when the screen is locked.”
6. Click lock.

Note: In the event you are using a time machine or other real-time back you must follow the above instructions from the back-up first. If not, chances are the Lock Screen message may reappear when you log-back in.

Or you can add a new personal message and the FDS message still is gone. Here is a helpful link: http://uninstallerly.com/mac-trick-add-a-custom-lock-message-on-login-screen/
